How do I order and how is the translation delivered?

We accept orders via the order form, e-mail, fax or post. Delivery is usually by e-mail but, on request, also by fax, post (surcharge of EUR 2.00) or courier (at the client's expense).

On what basis is the translation charged?

Our fee is calculated by the number of characters. The basis of calculation is 1,000 characters of the source text, including spaces. You will find all details on the Prices page.

Which text formats can I send?

In principle we accept texts in any format. To avoid possible formatting problems, however, we recommend Word files as the source.

How do I send large files?

Please send larger files via WeTransfer (enter office@lingua-town.com as the recipient). On request we can also set up a dedicated FTP account for you; please ask via the order form or by e-mail.

In which format is the translation delivered?

We deliver your translation in the format you request, usually as a Word file.

Can I rely on your confidentiality?

We guarantee absolute confidentiality and the security of all data you provide to us. We use it exclusively within the scope of our business relationship and never pass it on to third parties.

How long do I have to wait for my quote?

You will usually receive our quote within one hour. For larger projects it can take up to one day. We can only submit a binding quote once we have seen the entire text to be translated.

When do you charge surcharges?

If a project cannot be completed within normal working hours (weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or if other projects have to be postponed, we charge a rush surcharge of 25%. For work at weekends or on public holidays, a surcharge of 50% applies.

Do you also certify translations?

No, only sworn court interpreters are authorised to do so.

How long do I have to wait for my translation?

The turnaround time depends on the length and difficulty of the text, but is at least 24 hours.

How is payment made?

You receive the invoice with the translation by e-mail; the fee is to be transferred to our account within 30 days of the invoice date. For regular orders, monthly invoicing can also be agreed.

For payments by cheque or international money order we charge a surcharge of EUR 10.00.

Alternatively you can pay free of charge by credit card via PayPal. With more than 100 million members, PayPal is the world's leading provider of online payment solutions.

On request we also send you the invoice by fax or post (surcharge of EUR 2.00).
