The following privacy provisions are intended to inform you about how we handle the collection, use and disclosure of personal data. The controller for this website is LINGUA_town. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. We have therefore designed our online offer in such a way that it can in principle be used anonymously. We use the information we receive and store during your visit to our websites exclusively for internal purposes and to improve the design of the websites. An exception applies if this is necessary to defend against attacks that constitute criminal offences or that impair the functioning of our web offer.

Usage data

When you visit our websites, so-called usage data are temporarily stored as a log on our web server for statistical purposes in order to improve the quality of our website. This data record consists of

• the page from which the file was requested,
• the name of the file,
• the date and time of the request,
• the amount of data transferred,
• the access status (file transferred, file not found),
• the description of the type of web browser used,
• the IP address of the requesting computer, shortened by the last three digits.

We use this information to enable access to our website, to monitor and administer our systems and to improve the design of the websites. The stored data are stored in anonymised form in accordance with the Telemedia Act (TMG). The creation of personal user profiles is thereby excluded. Data about persons or their individual behaviour are not collected in this process.

Data storage

We point out that, for the purpose of a simpler ordering process and for later contract processing, the IP data of the connection holder are stored, as well as the name, address, telephone number, e-mail and VAT ID of the orderer.

The data you provide are necessary for the performance of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without these data we cannot conclude the contract with you. Data are not transmitted to third parties, with the exception of transmission to our tax adviser in order to fulfil our tax obligations.

If the ordering process is abandoned, the data stored by us are deleted. If a contract is concluded, all data from the contractual relationship are stored until the end of the statutory tax retention period (7 years).

The data name, address, services purchased and date of purchase are additionally stored until the end of product liability (10 years). Data processing is based on the statutory provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Article 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for the performance of a contract) GDPR.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on a visitor’s hard drive. They make it possible to hold information for a certain period and to identify the visitor’s computer. For better user guidance and individual presentation of services we use persistent cookies. We also use so-called session cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser. You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. In this way the use of cookies becomes transparent to you.

Your rights as a user

As a user you have the right to request information about which data about you are stored by us and for what purpose. In addition, you can have incorrect data corrected or have data deleted whose storage is impermissible or no longer necessary.
